The Dental School at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio was founded in 1970 and graduated its first class of 14 members in 1974. Today, the Dental School graduates over 90 dentists a year, professionals who serve their communities and make lives better for their many patients. Though we are a young school, we have reached many heights in our 41 years and the best is still to come. With nearly 200 dedicated faculty members in 10 fields of study, we are on the cutting edge of both oral health research and delivery of patient care. The Dental School is a dynamic place where students, faculty and staff come together to share knowledge and skills that will benefit patients in Texas, the U.S. and across the globe.
