The Center for Public Health Preparedness and Biomedical Research is the Health
Science Center's advocate for biomedical research leading to improved protection
of our community's health, should it be threatened by natural or man-induced
disruption. The Center also sponsors health profession and health support
training to improve our responsiveness as professionals and volunteers, related
to the integrity and restoration of public health throughout South Texas.
